Kicking off three hours before England and in the same group, Uruguay and Costa Rica can expect an enormous television audience for their opener.
It’s worth recalling that Uruguay reached the semi-finals four years ago and in Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani they have possibly this tournament’s most potent strike force.
They certainly appear to justify Coral’s 1/2 starting price to claim three points, particularly as Costa Rica failed to win one away match during their qualifying campaign, a run which accounts for the 17/2 posted by BetVictor against a Los Ticos victory.
Once again, however, the draw, offered at a hefty-looking 7/2 by bet365, cannot be discounted.
