Live on Sky Sports 4: Thu 06:30 & 20:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s China Open and Zurich Classic tournaments
Henrik Stenson heads the market at 15/2 for this week’s Volvo China Open while Ian Poulter is available at 10/1 and although both could easily win it, they don’t necessarily represent decent value.
Neither really does USPGA Champion Jason Dufner at 14/1 but Nicolas Colsaerts is returning to the kind of form that saw him have such an impact during the latter part of 2012 and he’s an appealing price at 22/1.
The problem with this event is there is no course form to go but Simon Dyson at 100/1 is surely over the odds as he has had plenty of success in Far East in the past. Tom Lewis at 90/1 is also a big price as he has been playing better than his scores recently have suggested.
Justin Rose is a 14/1 favourite for the Zurich Classic this week on the PGA Tour, where I fancy Patrick Reed to go well again at 35/1 and also like the chances of Graham Delaet at 22/1.
Paul Casey is still off the radar at the moment but signs are very positive with his game and I am going to have to back him at 80/1, which is simply too big to ignore. Casey is a winner and I expect him to return to the podium soon.
Finally, it was great to see Lee Westwood win with such authority last weekend and also to see Luke Donald back to form at Heritage; both will be very important to the European Ryder Cup Team at Gleneagles in September.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
