Live on Sky Sports 4: Thu 08:30 & 20:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s Tshwane Open and Honda Classic tournaments
The best field on the PGA Tour so far this season is at this week’s Honda Classic. Justin Rose is a late withdrawl with a shoulder injury which is a shame but this is a top class line-up nonetheless and should provide great viewing.
BetVictor go 10/1 both Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy but I like the chances of Charl Schwartzel, who has a great record at the course and is available at 20/1 via Paddy Power; a wager made more tempting by the six places they offer for each way backers.
Zach Johnson should go well at 25/1 while Rickie Fowler showed a welcome return to form in the Matchplay event last week and is a bit of value at 40/1.
George Coetzee took his time in winning on the European Tour and is top price 15/2 to add another victory in this week’s low key Tshwane Open, where Thomas Aiken (16/1) should go well again.
Links-like condtitions will suit Tommy Fleetwood at 50/1 and Chris Wood, also at 50s, who will be ideally suited to the track.
The 2014 season will shortly be in full swing and several big names in Europe will have to up their game in the next few months or their place in European Ryder Cup team at Gleneagles will be in doubt.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
