Live on Sky Sports 4: Thu 08:30 & 20:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s Joburg Open and AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournaments.
Hunter Mahan at 18/1 is my choice this week as the stars gather in California for the AT&T Pro-Am. He has a great record here and showed enough in Arizona last week to suggest he is not far away from a return to the winners enclosure.
Dustin Johnson should have won the US Open at Pebble Beach in 2010 but it went to Graeme McDowell, who is making his first start of the year here and should give punters a good run for their money at 14/1.
Meanwhile, an outsider seemingly showing a welcome return to form is JB Holmes who will love this track and is available at a tasty 150/1.
Richard Sterne at 20/1 should put up a bold defence of his Joburg Open title, ahead of which Charl Schwartzel heads the market at 4/1 from 11/1 shot George Coetzee, who incredibly is still waiting to win on European Tour.
Thomas Aiken at 22/1 should also give backers a decent run for their money and Tom Lewis is overpriced at 125/1 in this sort of field.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
