Live on ITV1: Sun 12.00: Notts Forest are 15/4 (Stan James) to win and concede against West Ham in the FA Cup.
West Ham are winless in seven in the Premier League and have lost five of those matches and that dismal run has left them just one place and a solitary point off the foot of the table. It’s fair to say the Hammers are in deep trouble and with that in mind you have to wonder just how much boss Sam Allardyce will care about his team’s tricky-looking FA Cup third round tie against Nottingham Forest.
The East London outfit look vulnerable then ahead of the City Ground trip but punters have long since cottoned on to as much so the best price about the Championship high-flyers coming out on top has shrunk from 12/5 to a high of evens with Stan James in the space of a week.
There’s little doubt that Billy Davies’s men are the most likely winners but with the appealing prices having been gobbled up days ago, value bets surrounding the play-off chasing hosts take some digging out.
First up is Ladbrokes’s 14/5 about them edging out the Hammers by one, BetVictor quote 17/2 for a 2-1 Forest triumph but arguably best of all is Stan James’s 15/4 for Davies’s charges to prevail but also concede at least once.
Recommended bets:
Nottingham Forest to win and both teams to score – 15/4 (Stan James)
