Despite failing to beat Blackburn at the first attempt, Manchester City are Ladbrokes’s 4/1 favourites to lift the FA Cup this season.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side could only draw with the Championship outfit at Ewood Park but they’re just 1/10 at Ladbrokes to ease through the Eastlands replay and subsequently they remain at the front of the FA Cup outright betting.
Arsenal (9/2), Chelsea (5/1) and Liverpool (5/1) all find themselves next in the betting, whilst Everton are looking to get their hands on the famous trophy for the first time in nearly twenty years at odds of 9/1.
West Ham’s thrashing at Nottingham Forest meanwhile, has done nothing to strengthen the position of Hammers boss Sam Allardyce, whose odds to be the next manager out of a job have shortened even further to just 4/11 at Ladbrokes.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Betrescue: “United’s exit won’t shock many punters these days as they’re no longer a reliable coupon banker. City remain slight favourites despite still needing to see off Blackburn.”
She added: “Big Sam’s days look numbered and it looks like we’ll be paying out on his exit sooner rather than later.”
