All’s ‘Well in 9/2 double

Live on Sky Sports 1: Sat & Sun 12.45: A Motherwell and St Johnstone double (9/2, Coral) is one of our three Scottish Premiership tips.

The next round of Scottish Premiership matches sees several of the top sides in games they will believe to be winnable, with only the early kick-off on Saturday involving a meeting between two of the top five.

That game sees Motherwell host Inverness, with both teams looking to maintain their bids to finish in a European place. Motherwell will be seeking to make home advantage pay and gain some revenge for their defeat at the Caledonian Stadium earlier in the season, and they are 21/20 with BetVictor to take all three points. A 2-0 win for the Well – a reverse of the score in that August meeting – is 9/1 with Bet365.

Caley Thistle are 23/10 with Stan James to grab an away victory while Betway is pricing the draw at 9/4.

The other match on Saturday sees St Johnstone visit Ross. The hosts have been on a poor run recently and need to start winning this sort of game. They are 7/4 with William Hill to do so but Saints fans who expect something from their team might like the 7/5 available at Bet365 on an away win. The odds of it finishing all square are 23/10 with BetVictor.

Celtic will also be confident of doing well at St Mirren on Sunday. It’s the first meeting this season between these two but the form book suggests it shouldn’t prove too problematic for the league leaders, who are 4/11 with Bet365 to win.

Stan James is pricing a famous St Mirren victory at 15/2, while a draw – which was the outcome the last time Celtic visited Love Street – is 7/2 with BetVictor. A repeat of that 1-1 scoreline is available at 7/1 with Paddy Power.

Dundee United welcome Hibernian to Tannadice, and the home team are 4/6 with Bet365 to add three points to their tally as they bid to maintain their challenge for a European spot. But Hibs have picked up under Terry Butcher recently and they will feel confident of getting at least a point. An away win is 3/1 with Ladbrokes while the second stalemate of the season between these two is priced at 13/5 by Stan James.

Aberdeen head to Kilmarnock as they look to make it six points from six this season against Killie. The Dons are priced at 23/20 with BetVictor to achieve that aim while a point apiece is 12/5 with Stan James. The hosts are 9/4 with Winner.com to gain revenge for the 2-1 defeat they suffered at Pittodrie earlier in the campaign, and 10/1 with Bet365 to do so by the same score.

Hearts v Partick would have been a real six-pointer were it not for the home side’s 15-point deduction. As it is, the visitors remain well clear of the Edinburgh side but Hearts will still fancy their chances of getting three points from this match. They are 8/5 with Stan James to do so, with a 2-1 victory priced at 10/1 by BetVictor. The Jags are 6/4 with Skybet to win while Bet365 is offering 23/10 on this one finishing honours-even.

Recommended Bets:
Motherwell and St Johnstone double – 4/1 (bet365)
Hearts and Aberdeen double – 9/2 (Coral)
Hibs to beat Dundee Utd – 3/1 (Ladbrokes)
