A fairly average day’s racing on Monday, with the three-runner novices’ handicap chase arguably the pick of the action from Plumpton, but, from a punting point of view, the most likely winner on the card is Boogie In The Barn (3:40) at 5/4 (bet365) in the concluding bumper.
Runner-up at Exeter last season for Philip Hobbs, the five-year-old failed to build on that on his first start for Jeremy Scott at Ascot, but that was a much deeper race than this and the extra couple of furlongs shouldn’t be a problem.
