Sat 15.00: Preston combine with Coventry and Bristol City in an enticing 27/5 (Coral) treble in League One this weekend.
Preston might be nine points off the pace in League One but they’ve only lost twice this season and are certainly heading in the right direction having picked up three points with an impressive victory at then leaders Leyton Orient last weekend.
That was North End’s fifth away success of the campaign but they have been more solid than spectacular at Deepdale, nevertheless, they look set to pick up a home win this weekend as they entertain Colchester.
The U’s have managed just one victory in 14 attempts in the league so they head to Lancashire in poor shape and at 4/6 with Ladbrokes, the hosts are something of a no-brainer.
Also primed for a home triumph are in-form Coventry. The Sky Blues would be right in the play-off mix had they not started the season with a ten-point deduction and they were only denied a sixth win in seven attempts by Bradford’s last minute leveller on Sunday.
Steven Pressley’s host struggling Tranmere this weekend and having racked up six victories already at Sixfields this term, they’re fancied at 8/13 via Coral to secure a maximum haul in this one.
Also catching the eye in the third tier are improving Bristol City. The Robins have moved out of the bottom four on the back of a four-match unbeaten run and they’re 29/20 (bet365) to haul themselves further clear of danger by beating Sheffield United.
The Blades looked to be on the up since changing manager but last weekend’s home defeat to Gillingham suggests they won’t turn the corner overnight and as their away record is shocking, they’re easy to oppose at Ashton Gate.
