Live on BBC2 Scotland: Tues 18.00: Scotland (3/1, BetVictor) and Norway are 9/1 (Coral) to finish 0-0 in their international friendly.
It was a game low on chances and goalmouth action as Scotland played out a goalless draw with USA at Hampden Park on Friday night and it would be no surprise if the Scots’ friendly contest in Norway followed a similar pattern.
Gordon Strachan has certainly made an impact since taking over as manager, his team tightening up considerably and as the former Celtic boss knows that in the first instance he has to make his team difficult to beat, he will be quite pleased to end his international double-header with a couple of decent draws.
Norway are William Hill’s 11/10 favourites to triumph and that’s understandable given their home advantage while BetVictor chalk 3/1 against the visitors but it’s the same firm’s 5/2 about a stalemate that really stands out in Molde, where Coral quote a goalless affair at 9/1.
It certainly seems likely that the clash will produce fewer than 2.5 goals (3/4, betway) given that Scotland will seek to keep things tight at one end and have suffered a glut of withdrawals at the other and indeed it would be no surprise if the deadlock remained unbroken.
