Live on ITV: Tues 20.00: England are 11/8 (Betfred) to lose their friendly with Germany and could struggle to score. Compare odds.
Given the dismal defeat against Chile, after which England were booed off,
it’s hard to see why anybody would back Roy Hodgson’s side to defeat Germany at Wembley, even at odds of 21/10 via William Hill.
Admittedly, Joachim Low won’t be fielding a full-strength side but they should still have too much craft for the Three Lions who are a tempting 11/8 (Betfred) to succumb to another reverse.
When you consider the players the visitors are missing, it’s not inconceivable that their price will rise as kick-off approaches and they’ll certainly be worth backing at anything bigger than the current quotes while Coral’s 18/5 about them following Chile’s lead by beating England ‘to nil’ also stands out.
Elsewhere, BetVictor post 14/1 against Hodgson’s troops again going down 2-0, Stan James price the visitors at 14/5 to lead at the end of each half and in attack Thomas Muller is an enticing 11/5 (Paddy Power) to get on the scoresheet at any time.
