Live on Sky Sports 1: Thu: 10:30 & 16:30 Angus Loughran previews the The Seve Trophy and The Presidents Cup
Team Golf is the only action for golf punters this week, with The Seve Trophy in Paris and The Presidents Cup in Ohio on the agenda.
In Paris it is all rather low key with Continental Europe 4/7 and GB and Ireland 6/4, but this event has not so far caught the public’s imagination.
Paul Casey loves the Matchplay format and looks value at 12/1 to be top combined points scorer, as he will be hard to beat in all his matches while a 20/1 shot in the same market, this time with Ladbrokes, Tommy Fleetwood, is also appealing.
USA have been heavily supported to win the President’s Cup and they have shortened into 1/3 as the big-hitters are all turning up at Muirfield Village.
Tiger Woods is the 11/2 market leader to be top USA points scorer but I like Jordan Speith here at 14/1. The youngster can also be backed at 13/2 to be the top debutant, which looks a great price.
USA seems to be taking this event very seriously and it will be a major shock if they don’t win with plenty to spare; a 20/14 triumph at 12/1 would be my correct score pick.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
