Live on Sky Sports 1: Sun 13.30: A win for Chelsea (8/13, Hills) and a draw at Southampton stand out in the early Premier League games.
Since their shock defeat to FC Basle in the Champions League, Chelsea have looked more solid, winning three and drawing one of their subsequent four matches in all competitions. The Blues have conceded just one goal in that sequence and as a result they’re difficult to oppose as they head to Carrow Road to take on Norwich.
Jose Mourinho’s troops are William Hill’s 8/13 favourites to secure maximum points at the expense of the Canaries, Stan James’s 5/1 underdogs and it’s hard to see the Londoners failing to justify their short price against the patchy hosts.
As Norwich are hardly prolific in front of goal, a victory ‘to nil’ for the Blues, at 6/4 (Stan James), catches the eye, especially as Mourinho’s defence has been in miserly mood of late. More specifically, BetVictor offer 15/2 for Chelsea to notch twice without reply and it’s 11/8 via bet365 for the visitors to be in front at the end of each half.
On the south coast, it’s hard to separate Southampton and Swansea, who both come into their St Mary’s Stadium showdown in decent shape.
Saints get the nod from bookies at 11/10 with Betfred while Michael Laudrup’s team are 29/10 at BetVictor but it’s bet365’s 5/2 about an inconclusive affair that really stands out.
Recommended Bets:
