Sat 15.00: In-form Oxford (17/10, Hills) should beat Cheltenham in League Two and they’re 9/2 (Hills) in a double with Fleetwood.
Oxford will be delighted with the way they have started the season in League Two and while it’s early days of course, if the U’s current performances are anything to go by, they could well be in the promotion shake-up come next May.
By contrast, Oxford’s opponents this weekend, Cheltenham look like they still aren’t over last term’s play-off disappointment, the Robins having managed just one win so far and that against rock-bottom Accrington.
As the pair prepare to do battle at Whaddon Road then, the in-form visitors look overpriced at 17/10 courtesy of William Hill, especially as they have won all three of their matches on the road.
Fleetwood definitely have the quality to put together a promotion push and Graham Alexander’s men showed exactly what they are about last week as they dispatched Torquay 4-1 at Highbury.
Town are back on home soil this weekend up against a Bury side whose results so far have been a mixed bag but as the Shakers have found the going tough on their travels, it’s perhaps surprising that BetVictor make Fleetwood odds-against at 21/20 to make it back-to-back home victories.
