Sat 15.00: Portsmouth (10/11, Hills) and Cheltenham get the nod in a League Two double at 14/5 with BetVictor this weekend.
Pre-season title favourites Portsmouth have taken just one point from their opening couple of fixtures but there were signs in the 2-2 draw at Accrington Stanley that Guy Whittingham’s much-changed side is starting to gel.
Pompey created a stack of chances at the Store First Stadium and were disappointed not to come away with all three points but the performance was nevertheless a platform for them to build on and it sets them up nicely to pick up their first victory of the campaign this weekend as they tackle Morecambe.
Like the hosts, the Shrimps have accrued one point from a possible six but they could find the going tough at Fratton Park if Portsmouth can find more of a cutting edge and the home win subsequently gets the nod on the south coast at odds of 10/11 with William Hill.
Cheltenham are another team with only a point to show for their efforts but having faced tough opposition in the shape of Burton and Chesterfield, the Robins can be forgiven.
This time around they have, on paper, a more straightforward assignment and they’re decent value at evens via bet365 to get the better of pointless Plymouth at Whaddon Road.
