An average days racing at best on Tuesday and the day’s sole selection is a bit of a risky proposition on his latest two starts, but Beckhani (5:10) clearly has enough ability to win a novices’ handicap chase off 105 and is given another chance.
Jonjo O’Neill’s six-year-old ran a sound race on his chase debut at Newton Abbot in May and a reproduction of that effort would see him go very close in this company.
