Live on Sky Sports 2 & 3: Thu 10.30 & 20.00: Angus Loughran previews this week’s BMW International Open and Travelers Championship tournaments.
Justin Rose was a deserved winner of the US Open on Sunday and will honour his commitment to take part this week in the Travelers Championship, where he is the 16/1 (Paddy Power) market leader.
The Merion victor will then take a well-deserved break before next month’s Open Championship at Muirfield, ahead of which Rose is a top price of 20/1 with William Hill and third favourite behind Ladbrokes’ 7/1 chance Tiger Woods and 14/1 shot at Coral, Rory Mcllroy.
Jason Dufner is my fancy at the Travelers this week at 22/1 via Bet365; he really caught my eye in the US Open on Sunday with a superb final round and is a player to follow when hot while of the outsiders John Rollins looks over the odds at 33/1 courtesy of Betfred.
The BMW International Open on the European Tour looks to be an open event with Skybet’s 22/1 chance Martin Kaymer the value pick.
Paul Casey is a player I am sure is capable of regaining his winning touch soon and he was far from disgraced in last weekend’s US Open so at 45/1 (Bet365) he possesses solid each-way claims in Germany.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
