Manchester United and Manchester City share favouritism at 15/8 to win the 2013/14 Premier League title in Ladbrokes’ early betting.
With both clubs set to start the next campaign under new management, Ladbrokes can’t separate the pair while Chelsea follow them in the betting at 11/4, although those odds will surely shorten if Jose Mourinho heads back to Stamford Bridge.
In the battle for the top four, the usual suspects are expected to secure Champions League places, with Spurs tipped to miss out once more.
Ladbrokes rate Arsenal at 8/11 behind United (1/20), City (1/16) and Chelsea (1/4) but the good news for Andre Villas-Boas’s men is that Gareth Bale is odds-on at 4/7 with Ladbrokes to still be at the club next term.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Betrescue: “With two of the top three without a permanent manager at the moment the race for next year’s title is largely dependent on who takes up those posts, however punters are already siding with the reigning champs.”
She added: “It might be a year away but the odds already suggest another choke is on the cards for Spurs and a Top 4 finish.”
