Sat 15.00: Promotion hopefuls Sheff Utd, Doncaster & Bournemouth combine at 15/2 (bet365) in League One this weekend.
Sheffield United continue to drop points at Bramall Lane, the Blades having drawn with Carlisle on Easter Monday on the back of an excellent Good Friday victory at Tranmere and indeed, only six teams in League One have registered fewer home wins than Danny Wilson’s men, with none of those sides sitting in the top half.
Nevertheless, United are still riding high in fourth and are BetVictor’s 10/3 second favourites to clinch the title so they’re obviously doing something right and a glance at their impressive away record gives a clear indication of what lies behind the Blades’ lofty position.
Wilson will be glad his troops are on the road this weekend then, especially as they’ve picked up an encouraging five victories in their last six travelling assignments to stay in the automatic promotion hunt and although they come up against an in-form Walsall outfit, the Blades have shown that they fear nobody on their travels so they represent the division’s best bet at 7/4 via bet365.
Doncaster remain top of the pile after their crucial victory over Swindon on Monday and they’re too big at even money via Coral as they entertain Tranmere.
The visitors now look set to miss out on the play-offs on the back of a wretched run and they head to the Keepmoat Stadium having lost four out of five so they’re very easy to oppose.
Notts County meanwhile, have nothing to play for and it’s hard to see them disrupting Bournemouth’s promotion push at Dean Court. The Magpies lost both Easter weekend fixtures, against two of the division’s other high flyers and they’re 8/13 courtesy of Betfred to be the victims as the Cherries rack up a sixth straight win.
