Live on ESPN: Sat 12.00 Peter Sharkey takes a look at Saturday’s SPL matches and fancies an easy Celtic win and a couple of draws.
Hearts and Ross County have drawn each of their league matches 2-2 this season and the likelihood of another is priced at 14/1 (Paddy Power). Fourth-placed Ross travel to the capital as Stan James’s 2/1 underdogs, with the draw offered at 5/2 by bet365 and Coral quoting 9/2 about both halves finishing on level terms.
Meanwhile Celtic have a third chance to beat Hibs – something they’ve not managed yet this season. They’re 1/3 (William Hill) to win and 2/1 (Ladbrokes) to win when kicking off with a two goal deficit.
Dundee United beat Aberdeen 2-1 when the pair met at Tannadice last term, but each of their matches have finished with honours even this season. BetVictor.com install United as their 6/4 jollies, but Skybet’s 6/1 price, chalked against it ending 1-1, has captured the attention of a sizeable number of punters.
Cast adrift at the foot of the table, Dundee have nonetheless twice secured goalless draws against Kilmarnock this season – Paddy Power rates the chances of them serving up another bore draw at 10/1. Coral’s 4/6, marked in favour of a home win, looks decent value, while Stan James post 13/2 about Killie registering a 1-0 victory.
Finally, second-placed Motherwell kick off as BetVictor’s even money favourites to overhaul St Mirren tomorrow, despite the pair drawing four of their last seven duels. Ladbrokes offer Motherwell at 14/5 to win by a one goal margin, but another score draw, priced at 10/3 by bet365, looks worthy of further consideration.
