Arsenal have drifted out to 11/8 with Ladbrokes to finish in the Premier League’s top four after they were edged out by rivals Spurs.
Goals from Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon helped Tottenham register a 2-1 victory in the North London derby and that means Andre Villas-Boas’ charges are now just 2/7 at Ladbrokes to secure a top four berth, with Chelsea 1/5 following a 1-0 success against West Brom.
Ladbrokes have also clipped Bale to 1/3 to be named Player of the Year while the Gunners are 7/4 to pick up a trophy in the next year – assuming they don’t win this season’s Champions League – and Ladbrokes make them 2/5 to emerge empty-handed.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Betrescue: “It’s a sad state of affairs for Arsenal that they had to rely on Bale to get them on the score sheet today. The win for Spurs is just another thorn in Wenger’s side and it’s hard to see how they’ll finish in the Top 4 now.”
