Manchester United now dispute favouritism for the FA Cup at odds of 5/1 with Coral after they moved into the fourth round by beating West Ham.
Wayne Rooney struck after nine minutes to set Sir Alex Ferguson’s men up with a home clash against Fulham and Coral reacted by cutting them to 5/1 to lift the famous old trophy, the same odds they post against both Manchester City and holders Chelsea.
Tottenham come next in Coral’s betting at 8/1 and Arsenal are next at 10/1 after Jack Wilshere’s late strike gave them a third round replay victory against Swansea.
Meanwhile, in a match between the two Manchester clubs, United are 4/6 to go furthest in the competition with City 11/10.
“It will be interesting to see what sort of team Sir Alex Ferguson names against Fulham in the fourth round. If United field a strong side, you would expect the 11-times FA Cup champions to progress through to the fifth round,” Coral’s Tim Reynolds told Betrescue.
“City on the other hand face a tough fourth round match against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium so in the match bet on who will progress the furthest from the Manchester clubs, United look the value bet,” added Reynolds.
