Sat 15.00: League Two’s top two Gillingham (21/20, Hills) and Port Vale (5/6, BetVictor) combine in a double at 13/5 this weekend.
Gillingham bounced back from a slightly shaky run on Tuesday as they picked up an impressive three-point haul at a decent Southend side and with the League Two leaders’ away form currently stronger than their performances at the Priestfield Stadium, they’re worth keeping onside as they visit struggling Bristol Rovers.
The Pirates ended a seven-match winless streak in midweek, edging the crucial clash with Plymouth 2-1 and new boss John Ward has steadied the ship a touch in his opening two games but they should nevertheless be no match for Martin Allen’s Gills outfit, who are a tempting 21/20 with William Hill to rack up a ninth away success of the campaign.
Port Vale are in second in League Two but their away form has been the backbone of their success so far. Nevertheless, the Valiants can give their home record a more accomplished look by getting the better of struggling Plymouth, whose run of just one league win 13 attempts accounted for manager Carl Fletcher in midweek.
Micky Adams’ side are a 5/6 chance at BetVictor and that’s simply too big given the pair’s respective league positions.
