Manchester United have been cut to 5/6 by Skybet to land the Premier League title after they opened up a three-point gap at the top of the table.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men were pushed all the way by Reading at the Madejski Stadium, where they eventually prevailed 4-3 but the victory was enough for the table toppers to extend their advantage at the summit.
That’s because Manchester City were held to a draw at home by Everton, a result that means the champions are out to 11/8 courtesy of BetVictor to retain their crown.
Chelsea meanwhile, are ten points off the pace and have subsequently drifted out to 16/1 via Ladbrokes after they were beaten at West Ham.
In the race for the top four, Arsenal are out to 11/10 (Coral) following their 2-0 home defeat to Swansea but Tottenham were the big movers, coming in to 6/5 at bwin on the back of their impressive 3-0 success at Fulham.
Everton, Spurs’ next opponents, are 13/2 to secure a top four berth with Ladbrokes, who post identical odds against Liverpool and Stan James have pushed West Brom out to 22/1 in the wake of their loss to Stoke.
