Martin O’Neill is Coral’s 6/4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job after his Sunderland side lost 2-1 at Norwich.
The Black Cats are just one point and one place above the relegation zone having won just twice all season and with Coral making them just 7/2 to go down, O’Neill is under pressure to turn things around.
It’s also 6/5 (Coral) for the Sunderland boss to leave the club before the first day of next season while further down the same firm’s ‘Sack Race’ betting are Reading’s Brian McDermott at 4/1, 9/2 chance Rafa Benitez and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini at 8/1.
“If results don’t start going Sunderland’s way very soon, Martin O’Neill could easily find himself looking for a new job, come the start of 2013,” Coral’s Tim Reynolds told Betrescue.com
“The Black Cats have to play Chelsea, Man United, Man City and Spurs before the turn of the year, so life isn’t getting any easier for O’Neill,” added Reynolds.
