Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Brave Spartacus in the 14:20 at Sedgefield. Compare odds and bet.
After registering a very easy success at Catterick just six days ago Brave Spartacus (2:20) is fancied to follow up under a 7lb penalty at Sedgefield on Tuesday.
New (front-running) tactics were offered up by connections for the much-improved effort, with the six-year-old having been pulled-up on his first two starts over fences during November.
Keith Reveley’s charge didn’t show much over hurdles at all but, if you go back far enough through his form, you will see he finished a close third to the smart Broadbackbob (before he joined Nicky Henderson) in a bumper, also at Catterick.
This doesn’t look the strongest novices’ handicap chase and, with the Reveley horses in such good order (4 winners from 14 runners since 30 November including a 14/1 winner at Musselburgh yesterday), he ought to take a bit of stopping.
The selection opened up at 2/1 with Bet365 and 7/4 with Bet Victor early on Monday evening, but was already trading at 6/4 by the time of writing and could well go off even shorter.
