Alan Thomson, the former Racing Editor at the Daily Record, fancies Rubi Light in the Punchestown 14:00 on Sunday afternoon. Compare odds
On Sunday, the John Durkan Chase at Punchestown has been billed as a match between leading Cheltenham Gold Cup contender Sir Des Champs and winning-machine Flemenstar.
Sir Des Champs, already a dual Cheltenham Festival winner, is unbeaten in seven starts for Willie Mullins, while Flemenstar is six from six for Peter Casey.
However, this is no two-horse race and RUBI LIGHT (2.00) could well gatecrash the party. Rubi Light thumped Joncol seven lengths in this race last year and is right at home on very testing ground.
