Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday from Plumpton; Broadbackbob in the 13.20. Compare odds and bet.
A Nicky Henderson trained novice chaser provided us with a winner yesterday and Broadbackbob (13:20) can repeat the trick this afternoon at Plumpton.
The seven-year-old had held an entry in Friday’s Steel Plate And Sections Novices’ Chase at Cheltenham and, in avoiding a clash with Dynaste and Fingal Bay, connections have found a nice opportunity here.
He beat Supreme winner Cinders And Ashes on his hurdles debut at Ascot a year ago and followed up in impressive fashion at Newbury in December. Sent off a well backed favourite in Grade 2 company on trials day at Cheltenham, he couldn’t complete the hat-trick and returned home with a chip in his hock, which forced him to miss the remainder of the season.
The son of Broadway Flyer can make up for lost time this season, as he looks more than capable of developing in to a leading staying novice and it looks significant that Barry Geraghty remains in England to ride him, rather than heading home to Ireland.
