Sheffield United are now within striking distance of League One leaders Tranmere after they hammered Stevenage 4-1 at the weekend and the more attacking approach adopted by the Blades in that one can again reap rewards as they entertain Crewe.
The visitors have a fairly indifferent away record and went down 1-0 at struggling Shrewsbury on Saturday so they should have little to trouble Danny Wilson’s men, an 8/13 chance at bet365.
Following that heavy defeat at Bramall Lane, their second in as many games, Stevenage look up against it again as they face rampant Bournemouth, Betfred’s 4/5 favourites. The Cherries have now picked up seven wins in eight outings in all competitions and they can capitalise on their opponents’ mini wobble at Dean Court.
Meanwhile, table-topping Tranmere were edged out by MK Dons on Friday but can get back to winning ways by extending Walsall’s winless streak to 13, a result Coral quote at 4/6.
