Moonlight Cloud has been the best backed European horse at the Breeders Cup in the last 24 hours prompting Coral to cut her odds to 9/2 from 5/1.
Her trainer Freddie Head has won five Breeders Cup Miles (three as a trainer with Goldikova and two as a jockey with Miesque) and punters clearly believe Moonlight Cloud has a good chance of making it six.
“Excelebration is a short priced favourite for the Mile but there are legitimate concerns about him running to his best just two weeks after his QEII win while Moonlight Cloud has been prepared specifically for this race by a Breeders Cup Mile specialist in Freddie Head. Just based on the last couple of day’s trading punters are favouring Moonlight Cloud over Excelebration by a margin of two bets to every one”, Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman told betrescue.com
In other moves, Groupie Doll reinforced her position as the shortest priced favourite at the Breeders Cup when Coral cut her to Evens from 6/5 for the Filly & Mare Sprint and the Japanese raider, Trailblazer, was backed into 6/1 from 7/1 for the Breeders Cup Turf.
