Camelot is the 7-2 (from 4-1) second favourite with Coral for Sunday’s Qatar Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe, following the news that the Investec Derby winner will be ridden by Frankie Dettori.
“The money we saw for Camelot earlier this week suggested the Derby winner was on target for Longchamp, but the news that Frankie Dettori would be on board was less easy to predict. His presence could well see his mount backed into clear favouritism on Sunday,” Coral’s David Stevens told betrescue.com
“It’s been a chaotic few days in the Arc ante-post market, with leading fancies Snow Fairy, Nathaniel and Danedream all dropping out, followed by a brief rumour that the latter might be given a reprieve, which proved not to be the case,” added Stevens.
