Liverpool have not lost a UEFA Cup / Europa League match at Anfield since March 2003 and as they finally appeared to click against Norwich last weekend, their 4/6 odds (Stan James) to overhaul Italian side Udinese appear just about right.
Udinese have managed only one win in their last nine away matches in European competition, hence their 5/1 starting price (Ladbrokes), but Liverpool’s defence has looked suspect on several occasions already this term and bet365’s 10/11 for both teams to score cannot be discounted.
The Reds have lost only one of their last dozen Europa League fixtures, but six of those were drawn, a statistic which adds appeal to BetVictor’s 11/4 posted against the stalemate and to Ladbrokes’ 7/1 marked in favour of it finishing 1-1.
Fabio Borini is 6/4 (Stan James) to score at any time, while Skybet post 5/1 against Liverpool winning 1-0.
