In the latest betting for the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year it looks like a two horse race between Coral’s 4/7 favourite Bradley Wiggins and Mo Farah at 5/2.
Following his fantastic successes in the 5000 and 10000 metres in London, Double Olympic champion, Mo Farah has closed the gap on Cycling Gold medalist and Tour de France winner Wiggins with Jessica Ennis out to 5/1.
Farah’s odds of being knighted in the New Year’s Honours have been cut too, he is now 2/1, half the price he was prior to winning the 5000m on Saturday. Wiggins is 1/10 for the honour with Ennis 4/5 to become a Dame.
“In an ordinary year, Farah’s achievements this week would virtually guarantee winning S.P.O.T.Y, but it’s an Olympic year and we’ve seen a number of double gold performances, as well as Wiggins feat in the Tour de France,” Coral spokesman Gary Burton told betrescue.com
