There’s plenty of Capital Cup action on Tuesday and most of the Premier League teams taking a bow. There is always a bit of guesswork to be done in terms of which managers are up for the cup and which see it as an annoyance.
A good place to start may be Southampton who may not be as troubled in the Premier League as most predict and they could send a strong team to Stevenage where the Saints are a wonderful evens with William Hill to win. Fulham, who are an outside bet for Europe, may weaken a little for their trip to Wednesday but Jol has the Cottagers playing some great stuff and they are reasonable at 6/5 via Skybet.
On TV, Wigan go to Notts Forest and with Roberto Martinez set for yet another slog in the league, the League Cup could be sacrificed. You feel a stalemate would be unwanted (9/4, bet365) so a Forest win looks very tempting at 6/4 (Paddy Power), especially on home terms, as the Latics roll over.
