There’s plenty of competition at the Greenbrier as many of the top golfers in the US prepare for The Open. Tiger Woods is an obvious market leader at 4/1 courtesy of Betfred but there are plenty of challengers in Phil Mickelson (20/1, Ladbrokes), Dustin Johnson (22/1, Coral) and more.
The return to action of Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker is of interest in particular. The latter, 25/1 via Skybet, is certainly one to be watched as Stricker has warmed up very strongly in the previous few years for The Open.
Defending champion Scott Stallings is 150/1 this week (Boylesports) and Stuart Appleby, the winner of the only other Greenbrier in 2010, is 125/1 with bet365 but neither tempt in a tournament likely to be dominated by the big names preparing for The Open.
