Live on Skysports 1: Thu 09.30: Martin Kaymer is 14/1 with BetVictor to win this week’s Open de France, a title he won back in 2009.
Kaymer had a good selection of top 20 finishes before a missed cut at the BMW International but after a couple of weeks off, he can be expected to continue his preparation for the Open with a good performance at Le Golf National, BetVictor posting 14/1 for him to win.
Lee Westwood is the clear 7/1 fav this week (Skybet) and will have plenty of followers while Justin Rose has a real collection of backers now and plenty of bets will go his way at 16/1 (Ladbrokes). Neither have played since the US Open and both are in great form.
French players are struggling lately and even the defending champion, Thomas Levet, is a massive 250/1 with bet365. Gregory Havret looks likely to be the best chance for the locals to cheer at 100/1 (Betfred).
Elsewhere, Jamie Donaldson, long-time-in-waiting winner last weekend, is 50/1 with Ladbrokes and Francesco Molinari is 22/1 (bet365).
