The Russian arrives in South London on a high having captured the French Open, becoming only the 10th woman to complete a career grand slam in the process and she is undoubtedly the form player having risen back to the top of the world rankings.
Her main rival at Wimbledon meanwhile, Serena Williams was eliminated in the first round at Roland Garros and will have to improve significantly if she is reclaim the title.
