I’ll Have Another is evens with William Hill to win Saturday’s Belmont Stakes and be the first horse since 1978 to win the Triple Crown.
Only 11 horses have previously landed the historic treble and he is evens to add to his Kentucky Derby and Preakness successes.
Camelot set up the prospect of a British Classic treble after adding the Epsom Derby to his 2000 Guineas success, William Hill quoting 9/4 for an US-UK double Triple Crown in 2012, only ever achieved once in 1935.
William Hill spokesman Richard Thomas said “Forget all the back-chat about trainer Doug O’Neill, and let Saturday be about the horse. I’ll Have Another has a great shot at joining the pantheon of equine greats, such as War Admiral, Citation, Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed, by completing the Triple Crown at Belmont. With UK race fans able to watch the Belmont via the free-to-view ATR channel, betting interest in the UK will be significant ”
