Paul Ferguson starts the week with one selection for us from Windsor today; Jeremy Noseda’s Initiator in the 20.10. Compare odds and bet
Mick Channon and Martin Harley will be on a high following their Irish 1,000 Guineas victory yesterday and the pair team up with likely warm order Gold Show in the penultimate 1m2f maiden at Windsor this evening.
The daughter of Sir Percy finished fourth in the Listed Swettenham Stud Fillies’ Trial at Newbury 10 days ago, form which would make her tough to beat in most midweek maidens but, at the likely prices, she is taken on with Initiator (8:10) who made a promising racecourse debut on his sole start at two.
Jeremy Noseda’s colt finished fourth in a decent 7f Newmarket maiden on the July course last August, when he appeared to be racing on the wrong side, up against the far side rail.
The third, fifth and sixth have all won since and, with the step up in trip sure to suit the son of Motivator, he is taken to score for Cheveley Park Stud and Ryan Moore, who has a 29% strike-rate aboard Noseda trained three-year-olds in recent seasons.
Monday’s selection:
8:10 Windsor Initiator
