Live on Skysports 1: Thu 10.30: Francesco Molinaro heads the betting for the Wales Open at 12/1 (Skybet) and is in great current form.
Francesco Molinari has had a great few weeks recently and aside from The Players, has made every cut this season. He deserves to be Skybet’s 12/1 joint fav after a T7 at Wentworth last week and will probably be the man to beat at Celtic Manor.
Man of the moment Paul Lawrie added a T2 at the BMW PGA to his T3 at the Volvo Matchplay and is the other player on 12/1 (Boylesports) for his 2nd win of the season. He will be justifiably popular in the betting and is worth keeping an eye on.
Marcel Siem is an attractive price a bit further down, Paddy Power quoting 28/1 for the German and with an excellent season so far, propelling him towards the top 100, he is worth considering each way. He hit a hole in one last week and looked very comfortable.
Alex Noren defends his Wales title as Betfred’s 25/1 shot but a slightly hit and miss season means he is probably best avoided whilst Alex Hansen, runner up last year, is having a solid campaign and is 25/1 with Totesport this time around.
