Paul Ferguson has another selection for us this evening at Punchestown: Loosen My Load in the 18.55. Compare odds and bet
Henry De Bromhead, Davy Russell and Alan & Ann Potts provided us with a winner last night courtesy of the heavily backed Absolutelyfantastic and they can repeat the trick this evening with Loosen My Load (6:55) in the Follow Punchestown On Facebook Chase.
The eight-year-old goes best fresh and on quick ground, so conditions are pretty much ideal, the one doubt being the 2m6f trip. At his best over 2m4f, he’s only been tried over any further twice, once when fifth in a Grade 1 novice here in May last year and also when well beaten in the Paddy Power Gold Cup when last sighted.
He wasn’t stopping when bolting up on his seasonal reappearance over 2m4f at Navan last September, or when making a winning chase debut here in May 2010, however, and, with most of his rivals badly out of form, he stands out. The eight-year-old was available at 5/4 overnight with Boylesports.
