Coral have installed Chris Hughton as their 5/2 favourite to be the next manager of West Brom after England moved to appoint Roy Hodgson.
Hughton was in the running for the Hawthorns post last year but Hodgson was eventually given the job and after a decent campaign in difficult circumstances at Birmingham, bookies believe the Baggies will turn their attention back to the ex-Newcastle man.
Coral spokesman Gary Burton said, “Hughton did a decent job when in charge at Newcastle, and with a play-off berth already secured with Birmingham, one way or another he could be returning to the Premier League next season.”
Behind Hughton in the early betting is Alan Curbishley, at 4/1 with BetVictor, although some firms make the former Charlton boss the market leader, ex-Baggies midfielder Michael Appleton is 10/1 at Stan James and Skybet price Wigan manager Roberto Martinez at 12/1.
