Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Saturday from Bangor; Master Of The Game in the 14.05. Compare odds and bet
All eyes will be on the returning Frankel at Newbury this afternoon and connections of the brilliant four-year-old will be hoping for an across the card double courtesy of Wrotham Heath in the concluding race at Newmarket.
The Dansili colt looked a horse of some potential when winning a Nottingham maiden impressively last backend, but he was way too keen on his return at Newbury recently, so he is best watched today, especially as he probably wants easier ground.
Another horse who hasn’t yet fulfilled his potential is Master Of The Game (2:05) but, down in grade, he rates as the day’s sole selection in the opening novice hurdle at Bangor-On-Dee.
Nicky Henderson’s six-year-old was all the rage for a hot contest at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day, following an impressive 7-length success in an Irish point-to-point.
The owners, who also have a runner in the bumper, shelled out £78,000 for the son of Bob’s Return last November and he ran well for a long way before fading behind Barbatos in that Cheltenham event.
He was again sent off joint-favourite when returning to action, also at Cheltenham, last month and he again travelled with some purpose for the majority of the contest.
The six-year-old probably needs time to develop, but he will appreciate both the drop in trip and in class this afternoon, and that should be enough to see him get off the mark at the third time of asking under rules.
