Luke Donald, back to number 1 in the World, has been cut to 14/1 (from 16/1) for the US Open by Ladbrokes after his BMW win.
Donald won the BMW PGA Championship at the weekend to regain his top spot and he has seen good support after the Wentworth win, moving to 14/1 for the US Open in a couple of weeks time, alongside Lee Westwood.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy stay top of the market at 8/1 but are not finding much in the way of backing as Rickie Fowler (33’s), Adam Scott (40’s) and Paul Lawrie (50’s) attract the early attention.
In the Race To Dubai, Donald is now just 5/1 while fav McIlroy drifts to 5/4 (from 5/2).
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “All the money is with Donald, and it wouldn’t surprise us if he goes off as the favourite. Punters are deserting Woods and McIlroy as their hit and miss form continues.”
