With 18 horses remaining, Camelot heads the betting at 5/4 with Stan James for the 2000 Guineas at the 48-hour declaration stage.
The soft ground at Newmarket accounted for Jim Bolger’s Dewhurst winner Parish Hall with just two days to go but that going will be good news for French raider Abtaal, who is Stan James’ second favourite at 7/1.
