Judd Trump is Ladbrokes’ 11/2 fav to win the World Snooker Championships and go one better than last year’s second place.
Trump shades Ronnie O’Sullivan, who is 7/1, and the latter is chasing a 4th World title. 2011 winner John Higgins has to settle for joint third in the betting at 8/1 along with Mark Selby and Neil Robertson.
Stephen Hendry sits on the outside of the market at 50/1, along with Peter Ebdon.
With no less than 10 147 breaks this season, Ladbrokes will pay out your selection as a winner if he hits a 147 at any point during the tournament but fails to be crowned champion.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Trump’s taken World Snooker by storm and we’re anticipating he’ll be back for revenge this year. Punters’ pal Ronnie O’Sullivan is attracting all the early money.”
She added: “147 markets are incredibly popular and it looks like we’re on to a good hiding with the amount that’s already been hit this year.”
