William Hill have seen support for England to win the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka and have been trimmed from 2/1 into 7/4 to win.
Despite the move for England, a number of players are playing for their places with Strauss particularly vulnerable and he is 5/6 to score 33 or less but 11/2 to score a hundred in the first Innings.
“Strauss has been a great servant to England and has to be given a lot of the credit for England taking the number one world ranking. We believe he still has a lot to offer, he is odds on to still be England Captain when they take on South Africa this summer and he is 14/1 to produce a man of the match performance against Sri Lanka next week,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
