Betfred make Camelot 5/4 favourite for the QIPCO 2000 Guineas at 5/4 following the latest declaration stage for the race in which a total of 22 horses have been confirmed
Roger Charlton’s once-raced maiden winner Top Offer is next in the market at 6/1 behind the Racing Post Trophy winner whilst Sea The Stars’ half-brother Born To Sea is an 8/1 shot.
“It’s not been an easy ride for those who were on Camelot ante-post for the 2000 Guineas over the winter but there has been some significant support for Aidan O’Brien’s colt of late and he looks set to go off a similar price to St Nicholas Abbey who started at even money a couple of years ago,” Betfred spokesman George Primarolo told betrescue.com
Camelot’s stablemate Maybe heads the betting at 6/4 for Sunday’s QIPCO 1000 Guineas with Betfred after a total of 21 fillies were left in the race.
The Godolphin-owned pair of Discourse and Lyric Of Light are next in the market at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively and both are currenly unbeaten for trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni.
Ralph Beckett has supplemented recent Newbury winner Moonstone Magic into the race and she is available to back at 8/1 with Betfred alongside Mashoora who won the Prix Imprudence at Maisons-Laffitte last time out.
