Live on BBC2: Sat 10.00: Ding Junhui is 12/1 with Betfred to win the World Championships and he’s 3/1 to win his quarter of the draw.
Ding was a losing semi finalist in last year’s Worlds and he is 6/1 with Betfred to go one better and make the final and 12/1 to win outright as he looks to add to his Championship League victory. He has a great chance to win his quarter, 3/1 with BetVictor, as he avoids O’Sullivan, Robertson, Williams, Higgins and Trump. Mark Selby is his challenger and if he overcomes him (should he face him at all), he has a real chance.
Judd Trump is 5/1 fav with Stan James and the young Englishman will be well backed but he faces a potential semi with John Higgins, Sportingbet’s 9/1 chance.
Ronnie O’Sullivan will always attract bets, Boylesports putting 9/1 on him, and if he can wrestle his way out of a corner including Mark Williams and Neil Robertson, he stands a real chance. Peter Ebdon is O’Sullivan’s first challenge though and the latter is a huge 66/1 with Coral after his China Open win.
Elsewhere, Mark Selby is also 9/1 (William Hill) and Mark Allen is Ladbrokes’ 14/1 shot.
