Tues 19.45: Reading at even money with BetVictor and Coral’s 11/10 favourites Cardiff can both pick up victories in the Championship.
Reading have won a remarkable eight consecutive matches to turn the Championship title and automatic promotion race into a three-way tussle and indeed the Royals will move level on points with leaders Southampton if they manage to get the better of struggling Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers have won just one of their last nine, form in stark contrast to that of their opponents, and although they picked up a respectable point a West Ham on Saturday, it’s hard to see them halting the momentum of Brian McDermott’s men, BetVictor’s even money favourites.
Saturday’s victory at Bristol City, their first away win of 2012, pushed Cardiff back into the play-off places and the Bluebirds, at 11/10 via Coral, look set to boost their top six chances with another success, this time at home to Hull.
The Tigers still harbour hopes of making the play-offs themselves but they’ve drawn five in a row and having thrown away a two-goal lead at the weekend, Nick Barmby’s charges will feel a touch deflated ahead of this one.
With three wins in five meanwhile, improving Nottingham Forest are a touch high at 2/1 (bwin) ahead of their trip to Derby and Ladbrokes’ draw quote of 23/10 is the best bet at the King Power Stadium, where Leicester lock horns with Birmingham.
